About

The Little Motel With A Heart

Our 30-room lodge is on the site of the first ever motel built in Brantford, the Beauview Motel. Colborne Street was once known as Highway 2, a major highway connecting Hamilton and London. Once Highway 403 was completed in 1997, many of the area Inns saw a decline in visitors.

Our family purchased this property in 2016, and have been steadily working since to renovate the property back to its former glory. We have planted a small fruit orchard in the backyard, and are located across from the Grand River. We encourage guests to take part in the natural serenity that surrounds us.

Brantford Tribute Mural

This bright mural completed in 2022 is located on one of the motel walls. It pays tribute to the natural beauty of Brantford, the traditional territory of the Six Nations, as well as our city’s two most famous residents – Wayne Gretzky, and Alexander Graham Bell.

Giving Back

At Galaxy Motel, we see ourselves as more than just a business. It is also important to us to give back and support our local community. Since 2016, we have planted dozens of trees and shrubs on the property to help reinstore our natural habitat. As a result we have started to see the occasional return of beavers, deer and dozens of species of birds stopping by in our back garden.

We also donate a portion of our profits to help support the following charities:
